I have never left my pet before, how will they cope?

The most important thing to remember is that caring for other peoples pets is our passion. We are both educated and have over eighty years combined experience caring for other peoples animals. Everyone who works at Camelot Pet Resort goes to great lengths to make friends with the animals be they Cat or Dogs and loves to see them go home happy and healthy. There is nothing better than to see an animal on their next visit run up for a pat like long lost friends.

What do you mean by "Per Calendar Day"?

When booking into a hotel you are charged per night basis, this meaning you check in at 2pm and check out before 10am the next morning. With Camelot Pet Resort you have the room for the whole day, with drop off being between 8am and 1130 it give us time to get to know your loved ones and for them to settle into their holiday. With pick up we highly recommend that you do anything that requires you to be out of the house before picking your pets up as they will want your company to tell you about their holiday. They may get upset if you pick them up and then leave them at home alone.

Do you have Play time (mixing) or a Communal space?

Dogs - We have a strict NO MIXING policy as you never know how a dog will react to another dog. As we cannot watch every dog at all times we do not mix our dogs in the yard. Though our set up allows the dogs to see other dogs and run along and play. They cannot get to each other and feel safer at play.

Cats - Cats are solitary animals who are most comfortable in a space that they have made their own. Communal areas are a highly stressful environment which exposes your cat to communicable diseases, possible FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) infection and possible physical trauma.

Can I come inspect the facilities at Camelot Pet Resort before my pets come to stay?

Of course, in fact we recommend you visit and compare us to other kennel/catteries.

Our inspection times are 10am to 1130 Monday to Friday and Saturday 10am to 1130 by appointment
(Due to the high change-over of guests on a Saturday)

Can I choose the room where my pet will stay?

Our staff are responsible for choosing the right spot for your pet. This is done by taking into account the Age, Sex, Sterilisation Status (Dogs) and Size. This ensures all pets are happy and feel safe in their holiday accommodation.

I have two or more dogs/cats. Can they stay together?

Yes, in fact if you have them stay together you receive a $2 a day discount on the second animal. We would not want to separate family members unless of cause one comes on heat (Dogs).

Who looks after the pets when you are closed?

We do! As we live on site these times are our people free times. It gives us more time to get to know your pets, play and in general have fun.

Can I come visit my pets while they stay at Camelot?

To be honest we prefer you pick your pets up early in the morning and take them out for the day and bring them back in the afternoon. (Please note this must be pre-arranged) We do this for the animals sake as they think if you visit it is time to go home and get quite distressed if you come for a short period.

Facebook posts. I have not seen any pictures of my pets?

We do endeavour to post picture of every pet though we do not guarantee that there will be a post every week. Many factors can limit the time we have to take photos. Please note the care and well being of your pets takes priority over Facebook posts.

Medication? What if my pet requires medication?

Our Staff administer most medication while your pet stays with us. However there is an extra charge for certain medication and it is best you speak with one of our staff members to discuss as each situation is unique.

What happens if my Pets get sick or injured?

If on the off chance of this occurring we contact yourself or your next of kin and take your pet to either your vet (if local and in hours) or to the local 24hour vet. We will take care of the bill and you will be required to reimburse Camelot Pet Resort on your return.

What if I'm going to be late or want to pick up out of hours?

If you are going to be late picking up please contact us and leave a message under most circumstances we will arrange for you to pick up in the afternoon or the next day (Cost may apply)

In regards to picking up out of hours we are quite strict when it comes to our hour as Cats and Dogs are creatures of habbit and any changes to these habbits. ie feeding time can cause stress. Therefore we do not have any out of hours pick up times.
